The Waverly Herald was a newsletter put out for the patients and staff. See the following article from the Courier Journal for more information about the newsletters
Split up throughout several issues of the Herald was a history of Waverly Hills compiled by staff members and proof read by Medical Director Dr. Alvin B. Mullen and added to the newsletter in installments. Portions will be mixed in the following pages, but later we have a compilation of the entire history along with notations written by Dr. Mullen himself.
April 1953
The first grouping that I am posting will be from April of 1953. It helps give usa glimpseof what things were really like. It contains some advice from the Medical Director, parts one and two of the history mentioned above, as well as a list of April birthdays (which gives us several names) and even a poem.

Building List
We found this hand drawnmap with all of the buildings on the grounds, along with the complete listing of buildings and (if known) when the building was completed. Page 2 also has a list of new arrivals and a few more poems. The exact date is unknown, but we estimate it was around May of 1953.
