FIFTH FLOOR

 

     John Allen has become quite handy with the knife – confined to whittling of

course.

      Denny Meredith from third is a newcomer to the fifth.

      Albert Lustenberger, George Vick, and B. K. McGary are trying their legs out

on road exercise.

      Frank Thomas is now dining in main dining room.

      B. K. McGary attended his daughter’s graduation.

      Fifth Floor East, to a man, craves the arrival of new patients. Just one with 

a T. V. would be quite welcome.

      Ernest Cole is walking the road again. Welcome to the “travelers Club”, Cole.

Keep up the good work.

      Mayola Barnett, Mildred Bachelor and Katherine Ingram are new faces added to

the O. T. Shop. We’re glad to have you girls.

      Joan Brandon went home to the happy land of Hopkinsville for Easter.

…..

      The patients were cheered up a great deal with Easter baskets from the Sunday

School.

…..

      Strolling in the sunshine these days are Jessie Conwell, Joan Brandon, Eliza-

beth Lewis and Robert Smith.

      Dorothy Jackson is still admiring the beautiful cards she received on her 20th

Birthday. Treats were given to all the patients in the old unit by Dorothy and her

roommate, Jessie Conwell, to help celebrate Dot’s Birthday.

      Altha Lee Hutton is mourning the loss of her roommate, Elizabeth Jackson, who

was recently discharged. Cheer up, Hutton, you’ll have another roommate soon.

      “Tums” became quite popular with Leon Dunbar and James Lowe; after helping

prepare Easter baskets. They were carried away with the jelly beans.

      The Baptist Fellowship Center conducted services on the floors, Wednesday,

April 13th. It gave inspiration to all the patients.

…..

      Dorothea Roberts was paid a surprise visit by her sister from Chicago.

…..

      Sunday School conducted weekly by students of the Southern Baptist Seminary

is highly appreciated by the patients, who attend. Welcome to the class are: Mary

Alice Wims, Elnora Hoosier and Susie Scott.

…..

      Services, which included singing, were conducted by the Board of Ushers of the

Salem Baptist Church and were very much appreciated.
