In 1923, Charles Chamberlain began operating a store which sold cigars, candy, and ice cream.  After the death of Mr. Chamberlain in 1953, Mrs. Chamberlain began operation of a cafe.  Later, their son Ray Chamberlain opened a cafe, "Ray's Cafe," which was in operation until the late 1970's.
