Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. for Miss Helen K. Yarbrough, 91.
Known as "Miss Kittie" to her numerous friends she was the daughter of Joseph and Clementine Yarbrough, pioneer settlers of North Houston county. She was a charter member of the local Christian church and was one of the oldest citizens of Grapeland.
Miss Kittie died Tuesday following a long illness. Rev. T.V. Lewis, Christian pastor, officiated at the services which were held at her home on West Maple street. Burial was in the City cemetery.
Pallbearers were John R. Owens, Luther Warner, nephews, John A. Brimberry, Lemuel Anderson, Speer Darsey, and Marvin Herod.
Survivors include one brother, Scott W. Yarbrough, of Fort Worth, and numerous nephews and nieces in Grapeland and other communities over Texas and other states.Received from Ann Stokes
