Thursday June 2, 1938.

"Mrs. Tom Herod died-94 years, 6 months, 11 days.
Rev. T. P. Lott and G. W. Walker conducted the services.   Interment was at Hayes Spring Cemetery.   Survivors are daughters Mrs. C. A. Story and Mrs. E. M. Carson of Grapeland and a son Mack Herod of Snyder."
