For (sic) no issued I Mary Yarbrough widow
and heir of Swanson Yarbrough Deceased
have and do hereby (sic) and transfer
(sic) once to Charles J. Grainger (sic)
(sic) the certain certificate of the pay for
which it calls
In (sic) of which (sic) this (sic)
this 11th day of April A.D. 1851 & seal the
(sic) with (sic) for said

Before me W. C. Baker clerk of the County Court of Harris County
came G. S. Hardcastle of this county to me known for oath
declared that Mary Yarbrough acknowledged to him the execution of the foregoing
assignment for the purposes & consideration therein contained that the signed
the same as a Witness of the request of the said Mary Yarbrough
and affiant further states that he was well acquainted with Swanson
Yarbrough. That he is dead & that Mary Yarbrough who signed the foregoing
assignment was his widow & that there are no heirs but the said widow
in the country.

Before me F. Z. Cooke a Notary Public
said County personally came John P. Ferrell
who being duly sworn saith on oath (that)
(him for) Montgomery Baxter whose name (sic) certain certificate
was (sic) war at the time of his death a citizen of
Texas that said Baxtor took the oath of Allegience to
the Republic of Texas. Took part in the Battle of San Jacinto
and died in Texas after said Battle
To certify which I hereunto set my
hand & public seal this 1st day of
December A.D. 1852

By order of the Hon County Court of Harris County I Jacob D.
Cordova administrator of the Estate of M. Baxter decd. sold
at public auction the within certificate of the public
debt of Texas for $33.00 No 1135 2nd Class dated 8th
January A.D. 1851 - according said order of the law
and Aug. C. Davis bring the highest & best
bidder at said sale the same was sold to him
and he having paid the amount of his
bid. This is therefore to assign & transfer
the within certificate of public debt to him
the said Davis his heirs & assigns

seventh day of Feby A.D. 1851

M. Baxter $33.00For a valuable consideration to me in hand paid I
hereby assign & transfer to L. M. Swenson
his heirs & assigns to within certificate of the public debt

Company of Nacogdoches Volunteers, was enrolled
on the sixth of March 1836 honorably discharged
on the sixth June 1836. Term of Service,
three months.

Know all men by these presents.
That I Charles I. Grainger of
this county of Harris have this day nominated
constituted and appointed and Do by these presents
nominate constitute and appoint S. M. Swenson
of this city of Austin county of Travis my true and
lawful attorney in fact to collect receive receive receipts
of the Treasurer of the State of Texas the amount
due me by said State in payment of the following
Certificates of the 2nd class of debt issued.
as follows to wit______________________________
Certifcate No. 585 issued 9th day of July 1850 to myself
as administrator of Peter .A. Akerman decd. for the
sum of $605 also certificate No. 1137 dated
the 8th day of January A.D.1851 paid to Swanson
Yarbrough for the sum of Twenty four dollars| $24.
And I do hereby my said attorney authorize
to do act or perform all the necessary acts of deeds
nessary in the premises and as I would or would
do myself, was I present, hereby approving of
confirming all and singular his said act done
in view of the presentsWitness my hand & seal at Houston

REPUBLIC OF TEXAS
This is to Certify that Swanson Yarbrough
(sic), under the provisions of AN ACT of the
LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS ENTITLED "An Act to proved for acertaining the Debt of the late Repbulic
of Texas," approved 20th March 1848, filed with the AUDITOR and COMPTROLER a (sic) for
Services in the Army in (sic)
amounting to Twenty four
dollars, which is sufficiently authenticated (sic) authorize the auditing of the same under the laws of the late Republic of
Texas
The said cliam , according to the data before us, is Worth, Twenty four
Dollars, in Par Funds as having been at that (sic) available to the government.In Testimony hereto, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals
of office, in Austin, this Eight day
of January A. D. 1851

Harris County
I William R. Baker clerk of the
County Court of said county do hereby certify that
Charles J. Grainger was duly appointed by the County
Court of Harris County administrator of the
estate of P. A. Ackerman deceased with the
will annexed, that he duly qualifies & by a
decree of said Court in accordance with the
will was declared the sole legater of the estate
of said Ackerman decd. & entitled to all of the
effects of the said descendant, as appears
from the record in my office
