Spring Term, A. D. 1854.I hereby certify that Clayton D. Skidmore - has proved his attendance
at said term of said Court as a petit Juror for five days, for which he is entitled to
receive the sum of seven dollars and fifty - censt; and he having received the
sum of two dollars and fifty five censts, this certificate is issued for the balance,
being four - dollars and ninety five cents.
Given under my hand in office at Crockett, this 16th day of March

Notes: I believe that this document was found in the attic of a old store in downtown Crockett several years ago. I recieved a copy of it at the Skidmore family reunion in Grapeland, TX from one of the Skidmore descendants. I just wish I could remember more about how and where the document was found.
