We camped at Lake Hasty Campground Saturday evening, drove to Bent's Old Fort on Sunday & drove up on the dam Saturday evening, camped Sunday night with only one other RV in the whole park. |

Things in the area: -Kit Carson Museum, Las Animas -Otero Museum, La Junta -Santa Fe Trail U.S. Highway 350 from La Junta to Trinidad follows the route of the ("Mountain Route") |
We did not make it to the Koshare Indian Museum so we will have to do that next time.

I was also hoping to go to the Sugar City Lakeview Cemetery and see the graves of my great-great grandparents. This will also be part of the next trip. |
