The school colors chosen were green and white, with the
school mascot being the Lynx. The new high school served the
communities of Lynn Garden, Bell Ridge, West View, Fort Robinson, Cedar
Grove, Bloomingdale and Orebank. The last graduating class crossed
the threshold in the spring of 1980 and Lynn View ceased to exist as a
high school. The facilities presently serve as a middle school,
with the middle school slated to be closed at the end of the 2003 school
year.
