Savannah MO City Cemetery
Eisiminger plot photos and narratives by Monica Eshelman
Above is a view, taken in 1978, of part of the oldest section of the city cemetery in Savannah. It shows the tombstones, left to right foreground, of Conrad, William, Mary, Virginia, and Henry Eisiminger.

To get an idea of change in tombstones, compare this to the 1999 view of the same 5 tombstones of the Conrad Eisiminger family. Virginia's and Henry's stones are fallen and partially buried in the ground now.

Mt. Carmel Union Cemetery
Photo of the sign at Mt. Carmel Union Cemetery, Andrew Co. MO. This cemetery has often been neglected. Occasionally it has been thoroughly cleaned by descendants of some of those buried there, but the last time I saw it in 1999, it was totally un-seeable. MtCarmel

John EISIMINGER
brother of
Conrad Eisiminger
This picture, taken in 1978, shows the tombstone of John Eisiminger in Mt. Carmel Union Cemetery. John was the brother of Conrad, and both were early pioneers in Andrew Co. You can see how wooded the area was in 1978, but in 1999 we could not even locate this large stone. The woods and brush in Mt. Carmel were simply too thick to even walk through. I wish I had a better photograph of this tombstone, but I'm thankful we got this one.

I do have the information copied from it,
if anyone wants it. Monica
