Islay 1841 Census Records (if it does not have a yellow background it is advertising)

I transcribed the census records for Kildalton, Oa, Portnhaven and Kilmeny and placed them in this section. I received a transcription of Kilchoman from someone else, checked it and put it in this section. While transcribing I added a family number to make following the records a little more easy. The first set of files below are in CSV (comma separated variable) format for those who do not have a spreadsheet program. I transcribed the records for the parish of Kilarrow and also received a transcription from Gilbert Carmichael. I cross checked my transcription against his and settled differences (sometimes to his transcription and sometimes to mine) Finally I put the 6 parishes into one Escel file for those who might do a massive search. There is also a file present for the previously missed Kilmeny residents.
