Brotherton R. Stricker, Sgt., b. 1844, Ky. His name appears on pg. 9 of the Enumeration of Confederate Soldiers and Widows, Warren County (Miss.), Supervisor's District No. 1 for 1907. Here it is stated he enrolled at age 17 in 1861, served in "Weatts" [sic], actually, Swett's Battery. (This enumeration was made on the first Monday of Feb. 1907.)

From his compiled service record, he served in Swett's Battery, Warren’s Miss. Lt. Arty.; enrolled 17 Aug 1861, Warren Co., by Capt. J. H. Crump; elected Corpl.; promoted to Sergeant 12 Feb 1863; “reduced to rank from Serg. Nov. 10, 1863, at his request”; paroled at Greensboro, N.C., Apr 1865.
