Lauderdale, John  F., b. 7 Nov 1840, Ark.; d. 25 Sep 1923; 3rd Ark. Inf., Co. G. He was age 22 when he enrolled 19 Jun 1861 at Three Creeks, Ark. Severely wounded in shoulder and arm at the Battle of Wilderness 6 May 1864. Age 24 on report dated 3 Sep 1864 for passports issued from General Hospital, Howard’s Grove, Richmond, Va., to Montgomery, Ala. Therein he is described as having gray eyes, light hair, being 6 ft 1 in tall, and of fair complexion. On a list of POW surrendered at Appomattox Court House 9 Apr 1865.

He applied for pension in Mississippi in 1908.
