B; enlisted 12 Jul 1862 at Meadville. This battalion transferred to the 14^th Regt Confederate Cav. He was age 19 in the summer of 1864. Captured by enemy (4^th Ill. Vol. Cav.) near Natchez (at Washington, Adams Co., Miss.) 10 Jun 1864. He was on a list of prisoners exchanged at Vicksburg 27 Jun 1864.
