Victor Rome, Pvt, 28th La Inf (Thomas'), Co. E, enrolled at Ascension Parish, La., 3 Apr 1862. On the Regimental Return for Jul 1862, he is marked "in Genl Hospital." On the roll of 31 Aug 1862, it is noted that he died 19 Aug 1862  in the hospital at Miss. Springs.
