Cashey, H. C. (also Caskey, H. C.), 1st Corpl. Co. F. 28th (Thomas') Regt. La. Infty. En. April 19th, 1862, New Orleans, La. Roll to Aug. 31st, 1862, Died at Hospl. Miss. Springs. Apptd. 1st Corpl., May 3rd, 1862.

His enrollment date is given in the paragraph above as 19 Apr 1862 in New Orleans, and his appointment to 1st Corpl was dated 3 May 1862.

 


 

 

The compiled service record of H. C. Caskey is filed under H. C. Cashey but also seen as Caskey.

On the Register dated 11 Oct 1862, his death date is given as 23 Jun 1862, at the hospital at Mississippi Springs. Another note says he died at the General Hospital in Clinton. Note that these places were located near each other (or could have been the same place, just called different names).
