GLOVER, CHARLES E., Age 63 of Romulus. Passed away Sept. 22, 1999 after a long 
battle with cancer. He was born in Rock Creek, W.VA July 13, 1936. On Dec. 3, 
1955 he married Audra Pearl Armstead, who preceded him in death. He was employed 
by Detroit Edison Monroe Power plant for 15 years. Charles enjoyed hunting, 
fishing and playing his guitar. He was a member of Beni Kedem Shrine

F.&A.M. Walton, WV. MBGHA Life Member NRA Member & Certified Firearms Safety

OSBORNE,MARGARET I., Age 78, of Lexington, formerly of Utica died Wednesday 
September 22, 1999 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born December 
22, 1920 in Laingsburg, MI, the daughter of Bert and Ina Mae (Godwin) Jones. On 
February 17, 1940 she married Claude L. Osborne in Detroit. He predeceased her 
on March 24, 1982. She loved quilting, playing cards, gardening, traveling and 
watching the Detroit Tigers, bowling and ice skating. She was a member of the 
Order of Eastern Star Lodge #495, Clawson and a member of Daughters of the Nile. 
She dearly loved her family and they dearly loved her. Mrs. Osborne is survived 
by three daughters, Gayle Osborne, Ellen Hurtt and Janice (Chuck) Sullivan; one 
brother, Gib (Mary) Jones; six grandchildren, Dianne (Fiance, Leon) Kinney, 
David Alderson, Leslie (Kevin) Ayers, Brian Hurtt, Jennifer Sullivan and Michael 
Sullivan; five great grandchildren, Matthew Kinney, Joel Kinney, Ashley Ayers, 
Andrew Ayers and Adam Ayers. Religious services will be conducted at 10 a.m.

KLADZYK, FRANKLIN JAMES "FRANK" 80, Bad Axe, a fourth generation Huron County 
innkeeper and founder of the Franklin Inn, Bad Axe, died September 18 at Saginaw 
St. Mary s Hospital. He and Marie Ziemba married in 1946 at St. Hyacinth s, 
Detroit. He excelled in sports, earning a baseball scholarship to Western 
Michigan University. He then attended Detroit College of Law while working for 
the Internal Revenue Service. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 
December of 1941, seeing action in 1942 in landings at Guadalcanal and Tulaghi, 
two of the most intense island landing invasions of WWII. He was a long-time 
member of Verona Hills Golf Club, where he served on the board of directors. He 
was a former club champion and competed in numerous state amateur events in the 
50 s. Mr. Kladzyk was a patron of the Orchard Lake St. Mary s Schools and was 
honored as an Ambassador in 1976. Surviving are his wife, Marie; two sons, 
Franklin, El Paso, TX, and Thomas, Manchester; two daughters, Pamela, New York 
City and Kathryn Brown, Houghton; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Miller, 
Tampa, FL, and Ethel Jean Clark, North Palm Beach, FL, and many nieces and 
nephews. Services were conducted September 21 at Sacred Heart Church, Bad Axe. 
Monsignor Stanley Milewski, Fr. Jack Leipert and Fr. Walter Ziemba officiated.

BECK, FRANKLIN F., JR. Age 71, of Hillsdale, September 24. He was the Owner of 
Frank Beck Chevrolet-Cadillac, Hillsdale. Frank was born in Buffalo, NY on 
November 6, 1927 to Franklin F., Sr. and Lucy E. (Truckenport) Beck. He 
graduated from East High School in Buffalo in 1944, and attended Michigan State 
University for three years, and served in the U.S. Army. On June 14, 1952, he 
married Angela Cardina and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, 
Kathleen Beck of Ann Arbor; five sons, Stephen, Peter (Linda) of Hillsdale, 
Robert (Elise) of Buffalo, NY, Franklin of Hillsdale, David (Charity) of Toledo, 
OH; a sister, Mae Beck of Marlboro, New Hampshire, and nine grandchildren. 
Cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Mass, Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Pediatric Hematology in Detroit, followed by Oncology at the University of 
Louisville, KY and finished her career as a Resident Physician at Central

DONALD , BERNARD ,76 years old. Died in his Oak Park home September 26, 1999, 
after a painful fight with cancer. He is survived by his wife Marvell, son 
Dennis and daughters Angela and Victoria, who were with him at his passing. His 
brother Edward M. Donald of Oak Park and sister Lottie Lovejoy of Detroit are 
all that remain of his birth family, and they deeply grieve his loss. Also in 
mourning are his grandchildren Shawn, Lauren, Melony and Ashley, and his 
extended family and many friends. Bernard was a devoted husband and father, and 
great patriot who served his country with honor and distinction in the Army Air 
Force during World War Two. He faced his illness with courage, dignity, a deep 
faith in God, and not the slightest degree of bitterness over his fate. A soul 
such as this is a great loss not only to his family and friends, but to the 
community as a whole.

September 23. She is survived by her loving husband Dwight, of Charlevoix, son

Beznitz, of Charlevoix and John Beznitz, of Warren. A 1947 graduate from St. 
Mary s Academy, Monroe, and a retired school teacher from Taylor School Dist. 
(Edison Elem. with a BA from Michigan State University and a MA from Wayne State 
University in Prim. Edu. She had been active all her life in photography and 
used her travels to find subject matter that she shared in numerous clubs and 
affiliations that she actively participated in over the years (Scarab Club, 
Detroit; Crooked Tree Art Council, Petoskey; Charlevoix Camera Club; Easter 
Upper Peninsula Craftsman s Guild; MI Assoc. of Retired School Personnel). Her 
most recent and greatest joy has been her granddaughter Emily Anne (21 months). 
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Memorial Service will be held

area in 1950. His parents, Edmund and Simonne Russell preceded him in death. He 
was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Hanson. He received his tool 
and die journeyman status in 1959. He was a member of UAW Local 326 at the 
former Fisher Body Coldwater Plant in Mt. Morris from 1976 until he transferred 
to the Saturn Corporation in Spring Hill, TN in March of 1987; and was a member 
there of UAW Local 1853 and the Vision Team. He received the UAW Walter Reuther 
Distinguished Service Award on his retirement from Saturn Corporation in Spring 
Hill, TN, April 1, 1997. He was also a member of St. Catherine s Church in 
Columbia, TN. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie; 
his children, Connie Green and husband Roland of Vancouver, WA, Edmund D.
