De Nolf who passed away in August 1984. She came to St. Petersburg in 1993 from 
her native Detroit, where she was a housekeeper for the Detroit Board of 
Education for 17 years. Survivors include a son Robert C. of Lowell, Mich., 
daughter Carol A. Undieme of St. Petersburg, Fla., a brother Ralph Kowalewski of

GAINES, ROWLAND E., Age 75 of Arcadia, MI, passed away on July 26, 1999, at Paul 
Oliver Hospital in Frankfort. Born on December 4, 1923 in Frankfort, MI to 
Rowland & Kathryn Kerby Gaines. The Gaines family has been native to the 
Frankfort area since the 1800 s. He retired from Michigan Bell Telephone after 
43 years and was a Veteran of WWII. Survived by loving family & friends. 
Cremation has taken place graveside. Services for family & friends were held on 
Thursday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at the Gilmore Twp Cemetery, Elberta, MI. In lieu of

79. Mrs. Seaver was the beloved mother of Robert (Laurie) Seaver of Greenwood, 
SC., and Joanne Farkas of St. Louis, MO., and four loving grandchildren. She was 
the dear sister to Thomas (Dorcas), and Doris Plant, and Ilene Sayers of Ont. 
Canada. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lewis, and brother Edwin 
Plant. Mrs. Seaver was an accomplished woman and her credits are as such: past 
president of American Assoc. of Occupational Health Nurses, member of President 
s Committee on Employment of People With Disabilities, past chairman and trustee 
of Educational Foundation for Occupational Health Nursing, consultant to 
National Cancer Institute and National Safety Council, past president of the 
Detroit and Michigan Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Mrs. Seaver 
received an R.N. from Victoria Hospital in London, Ont. Canada and a B.S. and 
M.S. from U of D, was a certified Occupational Health Nurse and was recently 
inducted in the first class of Fellows of the Aaohn. She was also a member of: 
The American Association of University Women, AAUW Investor s Group, Grosse Ile 
Book Club, Priscilla Circle, Grosse Ile Musicale, and the PEO Sisterhood. She 
was on the Board of Directors of the Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy. As 
a member of Grosse Ile Presbysterian Church she served as a church elder.

BANDLOW, MARLYNN H. Age 77. Died Sunday evening at Munson Medical Center in 
Traverse City. Marlynn served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the South 
Pacific. He received a Purple Heart for his actions with the 19th Infantry. A 
retired Chrysler manufacturing and engineering supervisor, Marlynn had lived on 
Torch Lake for the past 20 years. He was a previous resident of Grosse Pointe 
Woods. He had been employed at Briggs Manufacturing Co. (later purchased by 
Chrysler) from 1939 to 1979. After he retired in 1979, he worked as a 
manufacturer s reprensentative to Chrysler for Martin Foundry, Peak Industries, 
Ram Pattern Co. in Detroit for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Ruth of 
Torch Lake; children, Richard (Diane) Bandlow of Evart, Sharon (Luke) Bandlow 
Reese of Haslett, and Cheryl (Tom) Tobin of New River, Ariz.; and five 
grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, David, and Laurel Bandlow, and Ashley Reese.
