He had been employed at Briggs Manufacturing Co. (later purchased by Chrysler) from 1939 to 1979. After he retired in 1979, he worked as a manufacturer s reprensentative to Chrysler for Martin Foundry, Peak Industries, Ram Pattern Co. in Detroit for 18 years.
