Sunday, December 19, 1982 - Detroit Free Press CHARLES STEINBRECHER, 88, ENGINEER Charles Steinbrecher Sr., a retired engineer, died Thursday at the Bedford Villa in Southfield after a long illness. Mr. Steinbrecher, 88, a resident of Troy, was a maintenance engineer for Detroit Edison for 42 years. He retired in 1959. He was a member of the American Legion and the Thomas Edison Post. Survivors include a son, Charles Jr.; a daughter, Virginia Hehn; a sister, and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Wm. R. Hamilton Co., 820 E. Maple, Birmingham, with burial in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
