    • John F. Fenn was mustered on 10 April 1862 from Loachapoka, Alabama (just Northeast of Notasulga) and was to serve 3 years or until the end of the war. On 11 November 1862 he was admitted to the C. S. A. Post Hospital in Dalton, Georgia for Diarrhea. Then, on 21 November, he was transferred to "Cleaveland."

      On 2 September 1864, he was in a railroad collision accident and his right leg was amputated. On the 3rd, he was admitted to Ocmulgee Hospital in Macon. On 16 September 1864 he was released from the hospital and the next day he was furloughed to his residence in "Macon County."
