To reach this small, one grave cemetery from Interstate 5, take the south Yreka exit and turn west.  At the light, turn left and stay on this road, following signs to Etna.  Just before you reach Etna there is a left turn toward Callahan.  This is Highway 3.  Drive about 5 miles to Fay Lane.  Turn left or East to East Side Road. Turn left about a half a mile on the left, (west of East Side road)  across a field, up on a hill.  Past a barn on left is a red house and big older house. In the cow pasture behind the red house in the gulch is an iron- fenced grave. The iron fence is in good shape and has a gate. An old lilac bush grows in the enclosure along with myrtle. One lone tombstone at this site.

A closer view of Clara Caldwell's memorial

She whose form lies here,
Knows no pull or bier,
But this she knows full well,
That "God is Love,"
This message sweet to tell,
She cometh from above,
And whispers in our ear,
"Love casteth out our fear."
