To reach this large but mostly empty cemetery from Interstate 5, take the central Weed exit. If coming from the south, turn right, if from the north, turn left. Stay on this road until you reach the Highway 97 turn-off. Turn right. Stay on Highway 97 until you reach Macdoel (approximately forty miles). As you enter Macdoel you will see a combination gas station/cafe/store on your left. Directly across the highway is 1st Avenue. Turn right on 1st Avenue and stay on this road until you reach the fork. There will be a sign for Lakeview Cemetery. Turn right at the fork and the cemetery is just up the road on the right. You can't miss it. If you stay on 1st until the pavement runs out, you have gone too far. We feel we were able to get most graves indexed at this cemetery despite snow and ice in some places. We are concerned that there may be another section that we could not find but we will have access to the "official" database and will be able to check then. If there are more graves or another section, we will return in the spring to finish indexing.
