This is the second of two old Callahan cemeteries that are within 100 yards of each other. To reach this cemetery from Interstate 5, take the South Yreka exit and turn toward the traffic light. At the light, turn left on the Fort Jones Highway. Follow this road approximately 23 miles to Etna where you will see the sign for a left turn toward Callahan. Take this road to Callahan. When entering this one-block long town you will see a row of buildings on each side of the street. Pass the row on the right and take the first right up the hill about two tenths of a mile. You will see the first old Callahan cemetery on your left. Continue past this cemetery another hundred yards and you will see the Catholic cemetery on your left. Park on the street and enter the cemetery through the gate. As always, be sure to latch the gate behind you!
