David writes..."Lighthouse at Fort George, Grenada, West Indies, is only 15 feet high but was built atop a French 18th century fort of 1707at 175 feet above the harbour. Light is by 'Hance Brothers Co Limited, Lighthouse Engineers and Constructors, Near Birmingham, 1890.' Photo of interior follows. It will take less than US$ 1000 to refurbish the light so that any help (restricted to the light if required) will be welcome and tax-deductible. Check www.forts.org for more info on project. Light is 23 and 5/8ths inches high; 7 and 7/16 outside dia. at the top, 14 and 1/4 inches outside dia. at the bottom. Lens in excellent condition."
