On August 13, 2008, William Lynne "BILL" Denney died at age 63 in Champaign, IL after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic & liver cancer.
Bill's dreams & asperations were cut short with such an early death. He was very positive that one day he would take our line back to the early Denneys in England using the DNA program that he & I initiated & he wanted to write a book on his findings about the Denney families.
The project has been restructered & will be administrated by Barbara Denny George.

Bill has left his mark on the Denney - Denny genealogy family, his name and discoveries are documented in many places and will be preserved for many generations

I'm glad you dropped in to visit my genealogy web site. This web page is being designed to be yet another contact for research of Denney/Denny people, to spread knowledge of our ancestors and to further research these people which in turn will enhance my database of current and past generations and help others in their research. My main area of concern would be Samuel Denny of Surry County, NC however I will post data and contacts here of interest to all Denney/Denny researchers. Resolving the heritage of old Samuel Denny has been a bottleneck for researchers for many years. If anyone has any knowledge of a good source to prove his heritage and/or other valid data on him, please let me know.
I am Richard Frederick Denney, my line is Herbert Clarence Denney DOB April 16, 1901 at Auglaize County, Ohio, Arthur Patrick Denney DOB November 9, 1871 at Jay County, IN, Harrel Felton Denney DOB August 4, 1827 at Gallia County, Ohio, William Felton Denney DOB MAR 18, 1782 at Surry County, NC, Azariah Denny DOB abt 1755 at Albermarle, VA and Samuel Denny DOB abt 1715-1720.
(WE CAN HOPE CAN'T WE!)
I am attempting to locate and document as many descendants of Samuel Denny of Surry County, NC as possible. At the present time I have
I would be interested in sharing data and working with anyone having an interest in further enhancing the Samuel Denny line and which would at the same time help them in tracing their lines.

My GEDCOMS located at the FAMILIES page are now in two formats. The first is the standard Family Group Sheet format which many people are accustomed to using. The new format will also allow you to view my GEDCOMS by Pedigree, Families, Descendancy, and Notes which will allow you access to all of my notes and sources about the people.

I have built on & expanded the Joshua Denney line. Joshua is a son of Azariah Denny who went to South Carolina. There is controversy on whether this Joshua is the correct person for son of Azariah, I am convinced it is and am building on the line to presnt it to the world for exposure and further discussion. Please go to Gedcom page to view my facts and theory on Joshua Denney's line.
MY FAMILY GEDCOMS ARE NOW ALSO LOCATED AT GENCIRCLES - CLICK ON GENCIRCLES BUTTON TO VISIT THERE
I am particularly interested in my direct line of ancestors that migrated from Surry County, NC to/through Gallia County, Ohio and on to Jay County, IN and Mercer County, Ohio.
