Dr. Wood

The Richmond Dental Society has lost a skillful, earnest member. Bright, original and ingenious, Dr. WOOD did much to advance the dental branch of the healing art by invention, study and experiment. His love for his calling was a consuming passion, and his industry simply tireless. He was a genius, and he had "that infinite capacity for taking pains" which has been called the very definition of genius. For many years a great sufferer, looking for the end of his earthly career at any time, he bravely worked on without fear. A sufferer from ill health from boyhood, he nevertheless accomplished more than most could have done with rugged health. Dr. WOOD, at one time, was professor of exodontias at the Medical College of Virginia. True to friend, fearless to foe, we all admired and loved his sterling worth. Therefore be it,

Resolved, That we, as a society and as individuals, mourn his loss and deeply sympathize with his sorrowing family.

Resolved, That a copy of this paper be sent to his widow and published in the daily papers.

J. W. EGGLESTON, Chairman
