Bill Hanlon auther of the Dennison/Ives Sampler, gives the 1860 census in Healdsburg, Ca where Isaac Beeson is age 70, a blacksmith. Orville Beeson, grandson is living with him

Aledo Weekly Record March 9, 1877 Died near Healdsburg, Sonora County, Ca Mr. Isaac Beeson in the 81st year of his age. Born NC & moved to Indiana in 1836. Among first settlers of Mercer County settling on Beeson farm near Joy, stayed until 1853 - went to California

Probably went to California with father, Isaac Beeson in 1853 as not found in Mercer County in 1860 census. They evidently went on the Ezra Ferris Dennison wagon train per Bill Hanlon's research.

Beeson was a farmer, accountant, census marshall and railroad agent in Healdsburg. This may be gilding the lilly a little as he was a laborer in the 1870 census

History of Mercer County 1882 page 512 Mercer Abington Twp - the first school house was built in the township about 1839, near the farm of William T. Jackson, and the first teacher was Miss Harriet Wilson, who afterward married Mr. Brooks Beeson - she might be a sister of Lucy Wilson who married Cabeen as she was also a teacher at the same school.

Living at home in the 1850 census at age 24 with wife Caroline, age 18, born Ohio. Spangler family was next door.

In 1880 there is a William L. Beeson, age 55 born NC in Sonoma County, California indicating Wm Beeson went to California with Isaac and brother John (he definitely did as he was with them in 1860 and 1870). However there he has a wife Caroline C. Beeson, age 51, born NY, parents born NY, a son William F. Beeson, age 21 born Ca and a stepdaughter Luella Wollcot, age 24, born Ca, father born Ohio, mother born NY, music teacher

He evidently had a second wife also named Caroline. In 1860 they are living with Isaac and Caroline is 27, born Ohio, so is same as the 1850 wife. In 1870 she is Caroline W., 41, born NY so matches the 1880 census. In 1850 Peter Spangler was born Pa and his wife Elizabeth was born Va.
