McNatt Cemetery
A portion of the Mark Hardin Military Survey was sold in February 1885 to Richard Ratcliffe, who in August of that year, conveyed 107 and a quarter acres off the East side of the land to John D. McNatt. After the deaths of John D. and Nancy McNatt, his wife, the division, in 1933, stated "We reserve out of Lot 3 (allotted to daughter Minnie McNatt) a one acre tract of land to be used as a cemetery." Java Baker bought lots one, two, and three of the division in 1954. Part of the consideration was "the roadway to the cemetery on this property shall always remain open for travel." It now joins the North drive of the Marshall County Memory Gardens. McNatt Cemetery is located on Hwy 68 just South of Gilbertsville.
