ALLAN PRICE son of BRINLEY JAMES PRICE and NENA ROSALIE THOMAS was born 1944 in Maesteg, Llynfi Valley, Glamorgan, South Wales and started work at Dyffryn Rhondda Colliery in 1959 at age 15. It closed in 1966 the nonto Caerau Colliery until 1979 when it was closed, so onto Coegnant Colliery until 1983, then it was closed, then went to the Neath Valley to work in Blaenant Drift mine, then after the year long coal strike, I was asked to take early retirement, so finished on Thursday and started into the private mines on that Friday. I did this for about ten years, then had a heart attack and now also have 50% loss of my lung function through the coal dust. Also got vibration white finger through using the rockborers. Allan married WENDY.
