THOMAS RECTOR son of PHILLIP RECTOR (1824-1860) and MATILDA MAHAFFEY (1830-1916) was born 22 May 1857 in Owsley County, Kentucky, and died 22 October 1904 in Livingston, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. He married MARY FRANCES CRANE 1880 in probably, Laurel County, Kentucky, daughter of HEZEKIAH CRANE (1831-?) and SARAH RAGLE (1837-?). She was born 27 March 1862 in Kentucky, and died 28 August 1925 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky.

Obituary
Thomas Rector, age 45 was killed in the mines of the New Livingston Coal Company last Saturday morning by slate falling on him.
He is buried in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
