FRANCIS MARION WALLACE was born 25 July 1898 in Wofford, Whitley County, Kentucky and died 17 April 1922 in a coal mining accident in Highsplint, Harlan County, Kentucky. He was the son of ALFRED PAUL WALLACE (1869-1941) and MARY JANE WHEELER (1872-1957). He married LOIS LAY before 1922. She was born 19 July 1907 and died in childbirth on 29 April 1922 in Harlan County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of EDWARD LAY (?-1936) and JULIA LOGAN (1886-1967).
