Mattie Ola Vaught Aug 13, 2004, Alamogordo NewsMattie Ola Vaught, 88, of Mayhill, died Thursday, August 12, 2004, in Alamogordo.
Mrs. Vaught was born March 4, 1916 in Conroe, Texas to Ernest and Mary Alice (Walker) Mann. She had lived in Mayhill for six years and was a member of the Cloudcroft Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Alvin Vaught and his wife Nancy of Mayhill; three grandchildren, John Vaught and his wife Nancy of Springfield, Virginia, Melissa Phillips and her husband Jason of Boerne, Texas, and Mark Vaught and his wife Lauren of New Braunfels, Texas; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Autumn and Hunter Vaught of Springfield, and Ellie and Cody Phillips of Boerne; and two sisters-in-law, Rita Mann of Willis, Texas, and Lillie Vee Mann of Conroe, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, Ira P. Vaught, in 1978.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Cloudcroft Church of Christ with Bill Boverie officiating.
Committal services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Shepherd Hill Cemetery near Conroe, Texas with John Vaught officiating. Copyright 2004 Alamogordo News
