Buried Danville Cemetery
Irma married John Butler Terrell, a local Conroe boy, on 10 Aug 1928. Together, they raised three children in Beaumont, TX; Mary Ann, Mildred Carolyn and John Butler, Jr. Irma was fascinated by her family history and began researching her family lines. Genealogy became a lifelong hobby that she enjoyed very much. She joined the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1965 on her lineage from George Diuguid of Virginia. After the death of her husband in 1989, she suffered a stroke and went to live with her daughter, Carolyn, in Rockport, TX. She remained there until 1995 when she went to live near her grand daughter, Karen "Candy" Lawless in Katy, TX. Irma Louise who was called "Honey" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away on 21 Jan 1996 at her home in Katy. She was laid to rest next to her husband, John Butler Terrell, in Willis at the Old Danville Cemetery on Shepard Hill Road.
