ELIZABETH ANTOINETTE NICHOLS was the daughter of Jefferson Nichols and Amelia Landrum. She was married 1st to�William Boyd, Jr. There were two children borne from the first marriage.� Her 2nd marriage was to Charles Bellinger Tate Stewart, sometime after the death of his first, wife Julia Shepperd. In 1850, she and daughter, Caroline Boyd, are found living in the household of J. M. McGilvary ('McGilberry' on the census).� It appears that she is earning a living as a tutor as she is described as an "Instructress."� After her marriage to Charles Stewart, she had two more children.� Elizabeth died in 1857 and is buried next to her brother, Francis DeCalb Nichols in the Old Danville Cemetery.
