MABEL SPILLER was born 24 Sep 1895 in Danville, TX, daughter of William Fielding Spiller and Elizabeth Catherine Irvine. She married Nathaniel Hart Davis, Sr., an attorney and Harris Co. Judge, on 21 Sep 1920. They had three children: John "Jack" Fielding Davis, Katherine "Katsy" Davis and Nathaniel Hart Davis, Jr. Mabel was very active in the Montgomery Co. Historical & Genealogical Society for many years and was a charter member of the Judge Nathaniel Hart Davis Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas in Conroe.

Mabel passed away at the home of her daughter in Colorado on 15 Sep 1978 at the age of 82 and is buried next to her husband in the Davis plot.
