My gratitude goes to Eleanor Harris MacRae for her epic collection of Diuguid genealogy, William Diuguid of Buckingham County, Virginia where I first read a transcript of Margaret’s Letter and was introduced to the Diuguid/Henry family tree. Thanks also go to Judy Henry for facilitating contact with other Henry researchers and descendants and for sharing her own research with me. To my aunt, Mary Ann Terrell Mills, for her research into our Duguid/Diuguid family roots in Scotland which was recorded in a booklet which I came across after her death, called Scottish Notes, and which led me to the location of the original letter.Dr. Rebecca Wood, a Patrick Henry descendant, was kind enough to provide me with copies of the scottish university records of John and Patrick Henry, and Michelle Gait, University of Aberdeen, Historic Collections, King's College, Aberdeen, Scotland assisted me with interpretation and explanation of the university records.
