Museum Exhibit—"Hello Dollies"
(On display until August, 2008)
A unique doll exhibit is at the museum, featuring the vast collection of Jan Taylor, a local expert on antique dolls and owner of Tecumseh's "The Doll Cottage." What makes this collection exciting is her amazing array of antique doll furniture, buggies, tea sets, and clothing, dating from the 1800s to the late 1930s.
During this year-long exhibit you will see, in addition to Jan's collection, treasures from the families of Lela Youngs, Kristin Nelson, Louise Kleinsmith, Hildreth Spencer, Beverly Allen Smith, Vera Covell, and others. For doll enthusiasts, you will find baby dolls and fashion dolls, dolls with bodies of kid leather and those with bodies of fine china, Victorian wax and bisque-headed dolls and those more primitive stuffed-cloth dolls. Pay attention, and you may even come across dolls adorned with human hair!

Dan has a web site about the Palm Sunday Tornado. Take a look to learn more about the tornado destruction and photos at Devil's Lake.
LENAWEE FAMILY WEB SITES
I have started a section on the Lenawee Links Paqe for Lenawee Family Web Sites. If you have a family web sites that you want listed on th Links Page, email the link to me at Corpmiz@aol.com.
Research Web Site:
Footnote.com
The Footnote.com web site displays images of original American History documents. I looked at Abraham Lincoln’s original notes for the Gettysburg Address and papers from the American Revolution War era. When you register a user name & password, you can leave comments and observations about the various images. This is a great web site for viewing the actual documents that make up American History.
