Boy Scouts Tending
Neglected
Graves in Old Lagow Cemetery
Neglected
graves of pioneer settlers who were buried in the old Lagow Cemetery
when it was a rural community are being tended each week by Boy
Scouts of Troop 57. The work is being done under the sponsorship
of the Richard lagow Parent Teacher Association.
In its growth, Dallas has spread
around the old burying ground, and now it is located at Second
avenue and Carpenter street, a seldom visited bit of ground overgrown
with weeds and shrubbery. Graves are being filled in and markers
repaired or replaced and the weeds, and much of the shrubbery,
cut down.
