May 18, 1918 to August 31, 1918


 

Steamer Carbon again in commission and with a new Hull and general repairs and after a 4 year rest took her first Loaded tow down Sunday May 5, 1918 at 8:45 AM and an empty one up the same day

Steamer Robert Jenkins now has almost new sides and part of the bottom new and general repairs - cabin straightened - Boilers out - etc etc after being sunk in the river in January

Steamer Juniata May 1918    100 linear feet new log in the hold   new nosing and nosing iron    new sheet iron    new head knees    the forward chain braces raised    chains cut and adjusted    rudders repaired    new pintel bars and washers    some bottom repairs and calked    she left the Ways in fine shape

Steamer W.K. Field out Friday June 7, 1918 for extensive repairs      Laid down a floor plan for a new forward body    Monday June 17, 1918 we put a new Hull under her this time

Steamer Fallie docked on the bottom yard for new Head and Sides      some bum work done on this job    Phil Elsey  Captain    Sam Pancost    Foreman
