3 cups sliced fresh peaches
2 cuts water
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup pancake mix
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted margarine
Combine peaches, water, sugar, and lemon juice in a 3-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring lightly. Drop batter from tablespoon into boiling peach mixture. Reduce heat, cover pan, and cook 15 minutes without lifting cover. Serve warm with ice cream. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
