Dave's Great Grandfather, Henry Pierson. Written on the back of
this picture are some names. The suspected 42nd members are in
blue along with their rank and company. All The legible names are
as follows:
Bill Taylor (Pvt., Co. H), Edd Miers
(possbily Ed Mears), Jack Smith, Henry Pierson, Bill Harris (Unassigned Recruit?), Chas. Sutton (Pvt. Co. C), John Hancock, Henry Bradley (Pvt. Co. D?), Lawrence Ayer,
and a man with the last name of Gwaltney.
Other Men Identified:
Second row from front, third from the left: William H. McCleary (?) (42nd
Indiana, Co. F). Next to him fourth from the left: Zadok McCleary, (42nd
Indiana, Co. F). Fifth row from front and
seventh from the left is Elijah Whitten. Third row from front and second from the left
is Francis Marion Ingram (25th Ind., Co. K).
