Hi I am Pauline Drury your host for the state of California,  Kern & Fresno Counties. I live in Oxnard Ventura Co., CA., I was born in Los Angeles CA & was raised in Fresno, I moved to Kern County in 1994.
I  moved to Oxnard CA in April of this year because of a divorce.
My Step- Dad's folks came to Kern County in 1938, 
from Cordell, Washita Co., OK

     Bakersfield, city in south central California, seat of Kern County, on the Kern   River. It is located at the southern end of the valley of the San Joaquin River. Bakersfield is a commercial, distribution, and manufacturing center situated in an agricultural and petroleum- producing region. Manufactures include refined petroleum, electronic components, and processed food; crops grown in the surrounding region include grapes, cotton, citrus fruits, almonds, and carrots.
