Wed, June 3rd, 1953: 
John F. Ormon, 65, of Longan road, Grafton, an interior decorator for many years, died yestrerday at City Hospital.  He was born in Nova Scotia, son of James and Harriett (McClenan) Ormon and lived in Grafton most of his life.  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ida M. (Hinckley) Ormon; three daughters; Mrs. Hazel M. Murray of Auburn, Mrs. alice E. Doyle and Mrs. Ruth E. Cragan, both of Worcester; a brother, William T. of Worcster; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel J. Curry of Worcester and Mrs. hazel A. Lofgren of Auburn; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 at Longstreet Colonial Chapel, 21 Harvard street.  Burial will be in Cherry Valley cemetery, Leicester. 

June 11th, 1953 Saundersville, Thursday
James A. McKane, 65, of 370 Main street, died Tuesday night at Boston Hospital after a short illness.  He was born in Mineville, N.Y., son of William B. and Mary Ann (Mooney).  He lived many years in Barre, VT., moving to Northbridge in 1926 and to this community in 1931. He would have completed 20 years of employment at the Whitin Machine Works, where he has been employed as a machinist, Sept. of this year. His wife is the former Maude B. (Wheeler) Gochie.  He served in WWI, having served overseas.  He was a member of Alfred J.  Demers Post A. L. Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Carroll R. Gochie (that's what it says!); one brother, Arthur H. McKane of town and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Carroll R. Gochie Mortuary, 370 Main street, Saturday morning at 9:15, followed by a high mass at St. James Church at 10.  Interment will be in the family lot, Grove Cemetery, Glover, VT.
