BOOKS

[Formerly part of:  FAMILY TREES AND OTHER GENEALOGICAL TREASURES.  This section formerly included an index for Books and Biographical Sketches that appear on this site.  Because these sections became too large, Books and Biographical Sketches have become separate sections with their own respective titles.  You can go to any of the individual sections by clicking on Family Trees, Web Sites, Books and Biographical Sketches, respectively.]

One of the main goals of genealogical research is to identify our ancestors and to discover as much about them as possible. The fruits of our labor are usually collected as organized family trees that are stored on web sites and books.  Perhaps the single most lasting honor that we can convey to our ancestors and their progeny is through such written records.

A list of books containing data and information that may be useful to researchers of Monroe County genealogy is given below.

Monroe County, Ohio descendants and visitors with family connections to Monroe County are encouraged to make their family trees, books, web sites and related genealogical treasures available through this web site. This can be arranged at your convenience by contacting the webmaster of this site Richard Harrington
