HELP!
Various
correspondents are looking for information on the following ghost towns in CALIFORNIA. These are not listed on my main page for this
state, nor do I have anything in my records on them. Are you able to help? If so please respond to me and I
will forward the information on to those looking for the information.
IMPERIAL
DEMON’S CAMP: “I have traced my gr-gr
grandfather, Lewis Feltnor to Ca. in 1852. I have
learned that he and his wife settled in Demons Camp. While Lewis looked for
gold, his wife - Lodeiska Robinson Feltnor, ran a hotel.
Can anyone help me with the location of Demons Camp?”
STURGEON: “Is there any information on the old town of
UNKNOWN: “I am desperate to find a ghost town that I visited back
in the mid-70s when I was in grade school on a field trip with my class. It was in or near
(GARY’s NOTE: UNLESS someone can PROVE otherwise, I consider
this an urban legend, as I also have heard these rumors over the years, but I
have never been able to verify it. This query is being posted to get folks to
thinking. IF they are aware of this location,
please contact me. If it truly does
exist, please provide appropriate documentation and verifiable photos. If it is
proven to exist, I will not post its physical location on my web pages, but
will provide the appropriate proof. One way or another, I would love to either
prove or disprove this urban legend once and for all.)
