1. JAMES 1 HUBBARD married DARCUS E SMITH in Knox CO., TN.
Children of JAMES HUBBARD and DARCUS E SMITH are:
i. SHADE2 HUBBARD.
ii. ABE HUBBARD. According to Abe's WW1 draft registration card his full name was Aberham Mancle Hubbard. He stated his birth date as October 1878. He was medium height, medium build and had brown eyes and black hair. His wife's name was Bessie and he lived in Blainville, Grainger County, TN. At the time Abe was a farmer. The date of registration was 12 Sep 1918.
We know that in 1905 Abe was married to UNKNOWN and had a son named Robert b 28 Feb 1905 and died 9 Feb 1999. On the 1910 census his wife was Bessie and they had married in that year. This was in Campbell County, TN. In 1920 he is living in Grainger County with wife Bessie and children Robert, Ruth V, Louise V and Elizabeth F. Abe died in 1922.
The 1930 census shows Bessie as a widow and head of household. Children living with her are Ruth, Louise, Frances and Carl. She lived next door to Robert Hubbard and wife Ellen. Children are Mancel, Roy and Allene. Next to Robert is Charlie Hubbard with wife Annie (Parks) and children Taylor, William A, John, Nora E, and Rose E. Mother Dorthy E (should be Dorcas/Darcus E), brother John and nephew Ina (sic).
iii. SAMUEL HARRISON HUBBARD, b. 15 May 1869, Jefferson Co., TN; d. 24 April 1967, New Market, TN.
According to the 1900 census Samuel was born in May of 1979. He was 21 years old and listed in the same household as James and Darcus whose age is listed as 40 making her born about 1860.

3. SAMUEL HARRISON2 HUBBARD (JIM 1) was born 15 May 1869 in Jefferson Co., TN, and died 24 April 1967 in New Market, TN. He married 1st Minnie MAPLES and 2nd OLLIE JANE GILBERT, daughter of Benjamin GILBERT and Malinda BRANHAM.

HUBBARD William A., age 76, of Dayton, passed away Monday, December 3, 1990 at
Grandview Hospital. He was a retired member of Teamsters Local #957 and
Northmont Board of Education. [Children living so will not be mentioned] 20
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 1 PM Friday Marker &
Heller Funeral Home, N. Main St. Chapel, 1706 N. Main St. Rev. Lonnie Mitchell
officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from noon
until service time.
