even though they themselves did not settle but died
either naturally, were murdered or were executed. These
soldiers never returned to England ,it is thought that
some of their family may have remained.

John , . BAGLEY Samuel ,died Sydney,
buried 15 July 1831, 35 years, St Phillips Church Sydney

died on Melville Island CAUSE OF DEATH: Speared by aborigines on Island
with a Melville spear through his throat and several spear wounds in
different parts of his body.

represent the soldiers who were in Australia on Garrison
Duty. It is unsure if they
settled. If it is confirmed they will be given their own
page and be listed above. The list of names has
come from many areas, Military records of the Regiment ,
Pay rolls, Pay Musters, Cemetery Records, Church Records
& General Muster Records etc etc . Many soldiers transferred from Regiment
to Regiment

complete.
