& Achievements :
- The 17th (Leicestershire) Rgt vacated Sydney
Barracks in Jan 1841 and were replaced by the 28th. The
Mounted Police were Supernumary to Regiments Robert Freer
had discharged from the 17th Regiment to en-list within
the mounted police. Dischagred from the 17th Mounted
Police to enlist as a private of mounted police with in
the 28th regiment. Eventually transfered to the 99th
Regiment of Mounted Police
