He was named Executor to his father Leonard Wastell of Scorton, in the latter's will.
Luke married (1) Dorothy, daughter of Thomas LAYTON, of West Layton and (2) Eliz., daughter of ....PATISON, of ....., and relict of Christopher ALLESON. (Dugdale's Visitation of Yorkshire, 1665, edited by J Clay)
A Luke WAISTELL is noted as being admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge, 7 May 1669. He graduated B.A. 1673/4, but there is no further information given. He is of an age to be a son of the above Luke Wastell, and may be the Luke Wastell buried at Kirkby Fleetham (see entry below).
