Dec 17, 1686 - Christopher BAILES of Selby, gent. is bound to educate and bring up Thomas, son of Henery Bailes late of Selby, deceased. The obligation is also signed by Nich. SPENCE & Geo. PURRATT, both of Selby, yeomen.

The Will of Catherine BAYLES - From the Peculiar Court of Selby -
Sep 9, 1703, I Katherine BAYLES of Selby, spinster
. To give to my dear and loveing sister Mrs Frances WAUD all my estate whatsoever etc & I ordain my said sister to be sole executrix etc. Witnesses, Ellinor BOOTH, Tho. TARBOTON.
July 17, 1705, Frances WAUD of Selby, widow, is bound to administer the will. The Bond is also signed by John WAUD of Selby, gent.
Inventory Mar 28 1705 - Amongst other things are a silver tumbler, 2 silver spoons, 1 silver taster, 1 sweet meat spoon, £1.3; 2 gold rings, very small ones & one other ring, 4s. Owing by bond or otherwise, £24. Totall sume, £38.3. Appraised by John WAUD, William HILL, Tho. TARBOTON.
